TICKET OFFER: SIMON CALLOW IN A CHRISTMAS CAROL AT THE ARTS THEATRE

EXCLUSIVE TICKET OFFER FOR CHRISTMAS WITH CALLOW!

A CHRISTMAS CAROL is the most famous book Charles Dickens ever wrote and one of the most daring. It has become 'the' Classic Christmas Tale. As the Ghosts spirit Scrooge from his past to his present to his future, Dickens plunges cinematically from the miser's dank and creaking house to riotous festivities, from cosy hearths to graveyards. And all the time the author's voice, tender, savage, magisterial, is present.

In this bicentennial production, based on the author's own performing adaptation, Simon Callow and Tom Cairns have created a one man theatrical extravaganza of total story-telling: phantasmagoric, hilarious, heart-breaking, visionary, a celebration of goodness, a plea for justice and a promise of redemption.

Simon Callow, one of the nation's best loved actors, returns to Dickens after huge international success with "The Mystery of Charles Dickens" (West End and Broadway) and national acclaim with "Dr Marigold & Mr Chops". He most recently appeared in the West End with "Being Shakespeare". Simon will release his Dickens Biography in early 2012.

***** "Delivered by Simon Callow with pacing so perfect and dramatic tension so fraught that a multi-generational audience sat on the edge of their seats throughout"
