    ROARRRCOUS FUN AT THE VAUDEVILLE!

The Tiger Who Came To Tea comes to the West End at the Vaudeville Theatre.

Judith Kerr's much-loved short story, first published in 1968, has sold over 4 million copies worldwide making it one of the most successful children's books of all time.  It has been translated into over twenty languages and a Facebook fan page dedicated to the book has over twenty thousand followers.

It tells the tale of Sophie and her mummy who, just as they are about to have their tea, hear the doorbell ring.  To their surprise, they discover a large tiger, who promptly waltzes into their house and sits down at the table.  Unsurprisingly, mayhem ensues, as the tiger eats them out of house and home and drinks all the water from every tap, meaning Sophie can't have her evening bath.

Adapted for the stage by director David Wood, the tale now includes catchy sing-along songs and is sure to spellbind younger audiences.  Wood's previous credits include The Witches, Fantastic Mr Fox, The BFG, The Gingerbread Man, Shaun The Sheep and Goodnight Mr Tom.  The child-friendly musical will play at the Vaudeville Theatre for a limited run of nine weeks this summer from the 9th July.
